Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music hailing from the United States. After the release of two singles as well as an album entitled Satisfied in 2007, she established an ensemble called Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her second album, titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe performing Blake SheltonIn 2016 she recorded The Blade which was another well-received album. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager for Riverside Illinois. Riverside Illinois and has over fifteen years of experience as a public servant, which includes almost five years as the the Deputy City Manager for Iowa City. The position she is in now the Assistant Village manager and has a variety of responsibilities that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department in charge of grants and special initiatives. As a part of Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services while taking on the strategic plan of the elected officials and the community. Ashley's prior roles include the planning of municipal services, public communications, budgeting, personnel management and collective negotiation. She also focused on the climate change issue. Ashley's involvement with national organizations and working in communities with diverse populations have given her insights into how organizations of all sizes function. Ashley's classes focus on current approaches to management and leadership within public organizations from an experienced practitioner. She focuses on adapting the ethical and strategic choices in order to address today's challenges and issues, as well as navigate intergovernmental relationships.
